Project Overview
We are seeking a skilled Android developer to create a simple and efficient Car Maintenance Tracker app designed for auto repair shops. The app's primary function is to streamline customer and vehicle management by utilizing RFID technology.
Core Features:
RFID Integration:
The app will utilize an RFID reader connected to the Android tablet to scan customer vehicle tags.
Scanning a tag will display the vehicle's service history and stored information.
Vehicle & Customer Data Management:
For new customers, the app will allow users to create profiles by entering:
Customer Name
Contact Information (Phone, Address)
Vehicle Details (Type, Engine Type, Oil Type, Filter Types, Battery Size, etc.)
Additional Notes
Existing customer data can be easily accessed and updated upon subsequent visits.
Service History Tracking:
The app will record and display the vehicle's service history, including:
Date of service
Employee who performed the service
Services rendered
Mileage at the time of service
Reporting:
Generate reports to track the number of cars serviced.
Future Considerations (Not required for initial development):
QR Code Support: Implement QR code scanning as an alternative to RFID.
SMS Reminders: Develop a system to send automated service reminders to customers.
