I am in the process of developing a blog called Lucy's Purple Crayon. The blog will talk about different projects and will offer some handmade items for sale. The logo for the site included a cartoon girl named "Lucy". The logo will not change.

This project has two parts -- a character and some illustrations.

I am planning on developing different versions of "Lucy" doing different things. She will be alone without any text. For example -- for cooking projects, Lucy might have on a chefs hat. For construction she might be wearing a hard hat or carrying tools. Eventually there might be a dozen different versions of "Lucy".

I have an immediate need for a version of "Lucy" that communicates sewing in some way. She could be at a sewing machine, holding a needle and thread, holding a big spool of thread, etc. I am open to ideas. It should be fun - not old fashioned. This version of Lucy will be used to brand hand-sewn items.

We are going to need her face developed, as right now I only have a rear view of her. When developing the front view of her, I want to keep her youthful look but have her be adaptable to different situations. She needs to look like the same girl in the current/existing logo.

In addition to the new sewing "Lucy" I will then need some illustrations updated. "Lucy" will be the star of the illustrations, which will be used to illustrate how to wear a hair turban (which Lucy's Purple Crayon) will eventually sell.

Attached are the old illustrated instructions. The new version will be in color - and must have a much more modern fun look. The only change to the text will be Unique Pocket -- this will change to Unique Shape. All other text will remain unchanged. The graphics will need to be completely reworked to showcase "Lucy".

In summary there are two items needed:
1: New version of Lucy sewing instead of writing with a crayon.
2: Illustration of how the hair wrap is used. This will feature Lucy's head in the illustrations.

All files will need to be provided as .ai, .eps, .jpg and .pdf files.
