We need a fun bunk bed for family with kids (age 5 + 7)

Top bed is 200x90cm
Bottom bed is 200x180cm

Wood is 4x6 inch (10 x 15cm) max length 3m (9 foot long).

Wood cuts can be 90 or 45 degrees. Wood will be screwed or bolted together.

Ceiling is 3.1m high (cannot go higher than that)

Can add ladder, slide, shelf, whatever... it has to be fun and Mom says it needs to look nice!

Entries can be 3D rendered, photoshop, hand drawn (pencil and paper) or even scale model with lollypops!

It has to be fun for kids and comfortable for mom to sit downstairs.

We have lots of 4x6 inch (10 x 15cm) wood already - please try to use this size for most parts of the design.

I have another similar contest running called "sofa bed design" - the requirements and design idea is very similar. Welcome to submit idea to both contests.

Hello, Contest Holder. I read all requirement but to make your room felt spacious, I have changed size of mattress and used all 3 mattress with the same size of 2000 x 900 MM. My entry no is 22. If you are okay with that change, do let me know. I will make that option more better. And one more suggestion from my end, I have seen some photos where the room feels really big in the 3D view but that might not be practically possible in the placement you suggested. Whether you select my entry or not but make sure of dimensions of whoever's entry you select.

If possible try to use mostly the 2x4's - maybe a little bit of plywood is OK. Custom components are hard to source.

  Hi Gandhi - thanks for your submission. The design looks nice visually and has some creative ideas. It's difficult to construct some of the wood sheets I guess plywood are not supported by anything. Congratulations for being the first person to submit design!
