  Ok, this is my first time using Freelancer and hopefully not the last. If I have made a mistake listing two tasks then its my bad, it was not my intention to make this difficult or unfair. Please be assured I want to be fair to all. The contest was started with a request for a "Company Name and Logo" with one fixed prize and winner. We will not be spitting the prize mid contest, we will have one winner. I hope this is fine with all. With regard to disadvantaging someone, to me the most important thing is the company name then the logo. In fact most company names look good as the logo.

     Dear CH, you have not made any mistake posting a contest for NAME AND LOGO. That is ok. It is not unfair. No rule against that. Aleksandra wanted to know whether you could just accept ONLY NAME as a winning entry despite no logo were introduced. Your answer was that if the name was very good, you could possibly accept it as the winner. That´s ok and no rule against that (perhaps a bit unfair to those who make unique logos, investing time and ideas to accomplish with the task of presenting a name and a logo). In my case, I only mentioned Freelancer´s rules because if you picked 2 winners, money will not be splitted and you should have to pay both winners the prize money (not splitted). The other solution, for you to know, is that you can pick a winner (who will be awarded the prize money) and, besides, as many running entries as you need. I thought it was important for you to have that issue clarified since you told us this is your very first contest. Regards.

  Hello CH, you should split this contest in 2, for a name and for a logo and split the prize money. Just a suggestion. Are you open for this 'cause I would like to submit some name suggestions (logo guy could do his part and we can split the award, that's the idea)?

     I would invite you to visit the rules for freelancer´s Contest awarding, since it is not that easy to split the prize. In case you´d like to pick a naming and a logo winner, you should award each one the price money published for this contest. So, you can pick only one winner. In case you decided that one contestant´s entry is the naming winner and other one´s the logo winner, you should decide which one will be THIS CONTEST´s winner and, after thar you are able to buy the other entry (the logo or the name) as a running entry. Please, check the rules to avoid future trouble.

     Another thing you should take into consideration is that you`ll have a deadline to pick the winner. After that date, the prize money will be divided among those entries that got stars and you´ll be unable to refund your money. Recently, we have had some issues related to this fact: Unawarded contests, prize distributed and CHs unsatisfied (Freelancer won´t mail you to remember the deadline to pick a winner is near). regards.

  Hi :) Aleksandra is right, 2 in 1 makes it confusing. I believe you should focus on the name first and leave the logo for later. Since most people are focusing on both tasks, two things happen, either you get a good name and a bad logo (or vice-versa) or you get a bad name and a bad logo. I think you can still reduce the contest prize and change the description. If you can't figure it out on your own, you can use Freelancer's live chat for help.
