Navodila natečaja
Make poster 36" x 24" similar to the one attached with the following information. Include track pics and a acrocanthosaurus dinosaur pic.:
B.P. Baker Site, Paluxy Riverbed, Dinosaur Valley State Park
This is the most southeastern of the park's track sites, and has several theropod trails and tracks. This site is normally under water, mud and gravel, but the current drought has allowed many workers to re-clean numerous tracks here and even find new tracks. The tracks were made in soft mud about 113 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period. Soon afterward they were buried with additional sediment, and remained buried while gradually turning into limestone. In 1908 a large flood tore off the overlying rock layers, re-exposing the tracks.
Most if not all of the 3-toed tracks were made by the two-legged meat eating dinosaur named Acrocanthosaurus.
Acrocanthosaurus was a bipedal predator and is named after its tall neural spines. It was among the largest theropods known to exist with an estimated skull length of 4.2 ft and body length of 38 ft based on the largest specimen found. Researchers have yielded body mass estimates for this specimen between 4.9 and 7.3 short tons. For comparison the acrocanthosaurus was a little smaller than the T-Rex.
