Wordpress/Elementor front page not loading correctly, suspect chaching plugin problem

I've built a website and was happy with the results, then a problem presented itself. The front page (when not logged in) appears as text and images only, no style. At first this was only on first load and a refresh would work, now it always does it. Navigating to other pages works fine, though it has done it once or twice on other pages. Loading the site from another browser and another machine at a different location produces the same results.
I feel like it may be related to a caching plugin, which I've since removed. I had been using W3 Total Cache, but then I tried Speed of Light and starting messing with Minify options etc. I've uninstalled/reinstalled both plugins and at this point I feel there may be some stray code or script interfering. My knowledge is limited here, this is just my suspicion.
I tried to set the home page in WP to a different page on the site, trying to see if it would load a "new homepage" ok, it still tries to load the old homepage with no style. Again, when logged in it works as intended. I placed the old homepage in the trash, it still loads it. I've been through cPanel file manager, saw some old cache folder and deleted that, to no avail. Tried a bunch of other little stuff. In Firefox, using inspect and console, it returns an error related to a script in wp-sol, the Speed of Light caching plugin I deleted.
The site does have some other issues I'll work on related to page speed, it's still a work in progress. At this point I'd just like to sort out this "front page not loading correctly" issue, understand what was causing it, and get things back to normal.
I am on the East Coast of the USA, I'd like to get this sorted out this weekend. I used this platform once many years ago but am not able to log into my old account, just made this one now. I'm putting this in the $10-30 category because I'm thinking it may be a quick fix for someone with chops, but if it's over $30 it's fine. I don't mean to lowball someone with skill.
