BigCommerce & Volusion Features

What we need for any Platform. Below are examples of what we need. 1. Global discount pricing, if we mark down a manufacture 19 percent off it should show like this on the web page. [login to view URL] 2. We need to be able to perform an “Add To Cart for Price”, this one we have a Global discount on plus an additional discount when the item is added to the cart. [login to view URL] 3. We need the option to show No Price until the item is added to the cart, on this page we show zero price and that does not work with some manufactures. We do need a Short Description to show up to help identify which product fits the customers bike or needs, on this the first item shows it fits these models of bikes, Honda Fury, Stateline, Interstate, Sabre. [login to view URL] What you will charge to do this. Big Commerce, We need number 3 & 4 to work on the site, I think we have 1& 2 figured out. According to Has, our contact at Big Commerce, Has says that should be easy and can explain how to accomplish this to someone who is good with web development. I will provide Has’s contact information if or when needed. 1. We need a Short Description to show when a search is performed or when a menu item is clicked and several products show up. Here you will see a short description that tells what bike the pipes go on, in the second listing at the top right you will see that listing fits these two bikes, VTX1800C ’02-08, VTX1800F ’05-06 . We need the ability to have No Price shown on the website for certain items and not just have the price the same color as the page or the price would show up on Google Shopping. This supposedly can be done with possibly aadding scipt and we would add NP in front of the mfg number that would be the protocal for No Price to show. 3. Go to this site, [login to view URL], do a search for jackets, on the left side of the menu you will see a color swatch filter, is this something that can be added to Big Commerce? Volusion This has a lot of neat features built in but some of the important pricing issues we need are not doable as it stands. 1. On the global price we can do it by adding another category and attach a discount to that category, the issue is the global discount reduced price does not show up on the web page, the price only shows after an item has been added to the cart. 2. We can do the Add To Cart for Price, but once the above works we may lose this option. 3. We need the No Price to show up, same as Big Commerce above. Shipping on Volusion appears to work well, on Big Commerce I don’t know. I will get into this later. We currently have a prostores account (Live), Magento & Big Commerce, I did the trial on Volusion and can sign up for an account there also. We will be moving to another platform once we get the features working as we need them. There are other issues with Volusion I have not put in here, we can discuss further all the above.
