I am a Virtual Assistant based in Renfrewshire, Scotland. I provide administrative and secretarial services to clients throughout the UK and my experience includes: internet research, call answering, audio typing, proofreading and posting articles online.
My background comes from working in the IT department of an electronics manufacturing company so I am able to quickly understand new systems and processes. I am a very well organised person who can manage multiple tasks to satisfy all deadlines.
My weakness, I suppose, is that I do not come from a traditional secretarial background so I am slightly slower at typing etc. but I am also a perfectionist so I deliver a high level of accuracy.
I am used to working with senior managers, Directors and clients and have no problem in following instructions as long as they are clear. If I have any doubts, I will always seek clarification before proceeding.
I have been running my own business for 3 years so I can definitely say that I am a self-starter. As long as I have confidence and clarity in what I am doing then I do not have any problems.
I work from a home office which is fully equipped with broadband internet, Microsoft Office, Skype with webcam and Express Scribe software. I also have a call handling facility which is internet based whereby the calls are routed to my home number. I would be happy to arrange call handling back-up if there are likely to be a large number of calls.

At the moment I generally work in the afternoons and evenings with additional hours worked at weekends if required.
