The objective is to create a verilog code for image dehazing. The image is converted into a text file using Matlab(all pixel values are converted into corresponding hexadecimal values). This text file is given as the input to the verilog program. First we need to find the minimum of RGB value of each pixel and create a matrix. Then we need to consider a small window/mask in the new matrix and find the minimum of that mask and sweep the mask through the entire new matrix to create the darkchannel image. Then by using the equations using the darkchannel prior algorithm we need to recreate a haze free image. (the output of the verilog code will be a text file and is recreated into an image using Matlab. I am attaching a reference paper. By using Line Buffer implementation I can find the small windows/masks minimum in the new matrix and sweep it through the entire new matrix to create the darkchannel image. And the three stages of finding minimum in RGB value of each pixel, sweeping the masks to find minimum and applying the formula of the algorithm can be pipelined and done efficiently. Based on the my experience in protocols and implementing multiple CRCs, Hamming codes and parity the solution I offers is 1. To find the minimum RGB value is to compare the MSB bits of the hexa decimal value. And store the value in FIFO or RAM for matrix depending upon your option 2. The above method can use to find the mask in the matrix 3. And for the algorithm part it can be implemented by breaking it as a block and connecting it using multiplexer and counter for certain conditions
