We are looking for talented professional translators for cooperation that could handle this combination. You must hold a degree in Translation, Literature, or another discipline (e.g. Life sciences, Finance, etc) and have vast experience translating Ancient Greek texts. Excellent language and translation skills, good writing style with accurate spelling and grammar and being detail oriented are a must. For this particular combination we do not require being necessarily a CAT tools user as most documents we receive for translation are in image format, so what is most important is that you have at least basic Word formatting skills to be able to work on the tasks. Please do not bid if you cannot provide a rate per word for translation and another for proofreading. If you are not online here all day you need to be using an IM (most preferably Skype) so that we can safely confirm your immediate availability for the project at hand. We do not receive very frequently texts in Ancient Greek but when we do, timelines are very tight as usual. It is important that we are aware of your general availability at all times as delivery within the same day or during weekends is not unusual. Moreover, some projects are really urgent and we would prefer not to split too much projects for consistency reasons. Finally, please mention any other languages into which you could translate, that is Ancient Greek into German or French, etc. as apart from English we are requested to translate at times into various other languages. We would prefer well documented experience so if this is mentioned in your CV please paste the relevant part of your CV here). A small test will also be required so that we are sure that you fully understand the source language.
