I do not want to make you waste your time and did read your ad properly, so let me tell you right now that I do not have 3 years experience in subtitling. However, I watch a lot of subtitled movies and the quality of the subtitles is often appalling. I would like to make a contribution towards making this better, so I am applying to do the proofreading of the subtitles. I cannot apply to do the subtitles themselves as I do not have the experience you require, and even though I would like to learn the various formats to do this I will not have time. I also very much doubt that some of the people who bid on this project have the experience or the knowledge you require. Welcome, I am native Polish speaker and I would like to help You with Polish language. I have a lot of experience in subtitling/transcribing due to my work in ManpowerGroup Solutions and LionBridge Technologies. I use Notepad++ in my work, I transcriptions are delivered in text file with UTF-8 coding and usually I charge $20 per hour of recording (WAV files, mp3 files etc.). My offer for subtitle checking is $10 per hour of recording. Of course we can negotiate it. In ManpowerGroup I deliver final translations through FTP or email, in LionBridge we have special platform for this task. In last year I was awarded 38 times in 42 projects overall, as employers like quality of my work and affordable prices.
