VAULT secrets [login to view URL] issue assistance?

Expecting I am doing something silly and you can get me going quick. (can share my desktop with you and you can see?)

$ export VAULT_ADDR=[login to view URL]

$ ./vault write secret/cookie recipe=sugar

Error writing data to secret/cookie: Error making API request.

URL: PUT [login to view URL]

Code: 404. Errors:

Something quick for about $10 or so? What is fair?
