I have a remote rack server running Ubuntu 18.04 colocated at a data centre in the UK.
What I’d like is for you to review the following requirements and suggest improvements and give me a quote for installing the requirements as amended by your suggested improvements.
Requirements:
1. Install GNOME (after checking that it’s not already installed) and make sure that GNOME is accessible only by me once I have remotely logged into the server using ssh
2. Install vsftpd. Limit the website designer (details to be provided) to being able to access two directories only; ‘var/www/html’ and ‘Text Files’. Please create the Text Files directory wherever you think is appropriate. I should be able to access all directories. Do not enable anonymous FTP upload. Should we install Filezilla for use with vsftpd?
I’m happy to give you control of my laptop (Macbook Pro) using TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or whatever you’re familiar with in order for you to carry out the above installations.
