Different IPs are coming to our website and hitting many times per second looking for images that do not exist. It is 404 DDOS attack. /image/[login to view URL] /image/[login to view URL] /image/[login to view URL] .... I block one and another IP shows up to do the same thing. We are using Windows Server 2008 with IIS 7.5. I have tried to use DDOS software server side, but it is failing to block them. Does anyone know how to filter in IIS to block only traffic that hits a 404 error more than X number of minutes for example or another solution.
