This is a six sigma assignment. The project is about analyzing a monthly data sourcing effort to be submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States. Basically, a group of programmers are writing code in SAS to source data from different databases across the company. The problems they could encounter are:
- The programmer makes mistakes when writing the code to source the data field(s) assigned
- The programmer could have written the code correctly one month, but the next month the data has changed in the source database and so the code written the previous month is obsolete
- The time it takes to provide the programmer access to a certain database
The data attached is for a data was simulated using a binomial distribution. The data represents monthly data sourcing for submission to the Federal Reserve Bank of the United Sates (the client).
The ones indicate that data was sourced correctly and the zeros indicate that the data was sourced incorrectly.
The Federal Reserve requires 100% of the data to be correct. The consequence of not having the data correct is that the submitting bank might face enforcement action. Perform the analysis portion using Minitab.
This is fictitious project, so feel free to be creative in the process, but make sure apply the project requirements (see project requirements document attached) and present a coherent report.
