Hello! I have about 5000 files that contain ASCII characters AND a specific number for our documents. I need to strip this document number out of each file. If you look at the attached files, I need to capture the 2019-########## number out of each file. I THINK each number will be 4 digits + '-' + 10 digits, but I'm not entirely sure. Ultimately I need this in an SQL database. I have imported the data to SQL and with various methods can pull the information out, but each time I find a way to do it there is another file with a different ASCII pattern that I hadn't account for. I will be receiving these files on a go forward basis so I am looking for a method to strip this data out. Preferably by bulk inserting the files and stripping out the data with SQL scripts, stored procedures, etc. I am using SQL 2008 (but could install 2019 if necessary)
