We want to use Atmel SAMA5D2 MPU without the need for embedded Linux or other complex operating systems on NAND/QSPI Flash. The goal is to get .BIN or .HEX files uploaded onto the NAND or QSPI flash memory so that at power up our firmware loads into DDR memory and runs from there. Existing bootloaders/software/tools/examples/resources found online for the MPU can be used with or without modifications and/or completely new ones can be written if needed. - Development will be done on ATSAMA5D2B-XULT evaluation board. - Fast firmware load times are mandatory. - The resulting system should be easy to use during final manufacturing of the product to get the firmware onto the flash memory. We are doing day-to-day development using JTAG to upload our firmware into the on board DDR memory and run it from there. Your system will be used when we want the same firmware to boot from the flash memory. The project starts late August / early September.
