Hi,
My name is Tom Goh, 55 and I am a retired IT manager. I would like to bid for your project.
1. Don’t be discouraged even if I hire someone before hiring you. I will hire multiple people because there are many documents. And I will pay all people I hire. Do you understand?
>>> YES
2. I said not all company names exactly coincide. For example, "Corporation" can be written as "Corp" or "Co". Tell me all such examples you know. I already know many examples. I am testing you.
>>> some will use "company" and "corporation" interchangeably.
>>> I can think of several off the top of my head, -- CPN, Corp, Corp., LLC, PLLC, INC, Co, Coy, Co., INCORPORATED
How will I do this project:
I will look at the import files and find the company name "COMPANY CONFORMED NAME:" and save the company name and filename into a new tab. This will save time in searching files and allows multiple iterations.
For the company name, the fastest way may be to create another tab and have the original name and a column of standardized name: (Eg: replace "Tom Goh LLC" with "Tom Goh Corporation"). This will maximize the matching accuracy.
For every matched record, we will set a flag on the imported data, so that we know which row has been matched.
At the end, we may still have to do a manual cleanup for those records that are missed. we will search in both tabs and then try to reconcile the data.
I hope this meets your needs and looks forward to hearing more from you
Regards
Tom Goh
