Hi, I'm a huge Scala fan, but never had the opportunity to work with it. If given the chance, I can re-learn it free of charge. I first heard of and followed Scala on the Java Posse podcast many years back. I also eventually got wind of Akka, ReactiveX, the Lagom Framework, and Lightbend. I will be looking at Lagom this year to add to my microservices toolkit. I'm subscribed to the Lightbend newsletter and I just received the March 2019 edition (the spotlight is on "Lightbend Pipelines"). I have over 18 years experience with Java though, including three years with Groovy/Grails. I have also picked up Go/Golang and I have just recently completed a stint as a Senior Java/Go developer for an Austrian e-commerce company (Nekom/SHOPiMORE - please see this in my work history) where I developed Go microservices and called them from Java using gPRC and protobuf.
