Dear Sir, I have worked on two such projects already, I completed one of them here on freelancer. I created a unique id by combining mother board, bios, and processor properties. I build the final APIs using C#. I collect this unique id from client systems (servers/laptops) and generate a unique encrypted license string from my licensing software. I send this license string to clients they feed it to my software which load and decrypt this file and checks information from it like expiry date, the system id to which license was issued etc. I have complete licensing system which includes 1. Licensing request generation (hardware id generation) 2. License issuing system 3. License checking/verification components This licensing system has been coded in C#. I have multiple experience in the field of .NET technologies. If you use a .NET Core console app to autogenerate a .LIC or Text File, you can use that program in Linux, Mac and Windows. If you use it only in Windows you can use .NET App with UI to generate it with the dialog prompt. Regards.
