Hello, Do you want the software to work with a specific brand and/or model or to work with several different brands/models? Such an application can be build from scratch or it can be based on an existing application to which to add the ability to draw manually in real time. The correct approach depends on several factors including if the application is for in-house use or if it will be offered commercially or if it will be a free software. Depending on the goals of the project the application can be made fairly universal supporting any CNC machine that use G-code as its programming language. There are a lot of details to be discussed as for example, how to control drill depth (one approach is to increase the depth if the user keeps their finger in a single place) and what to do if the user moves faster than the speed of the motors.
