Java Developer Tasks Prototyping; Design, Development and maintenance of web applications; Design, Development and maintenance of J2EE applications; Analysis and development of structural changes to new and existing information systems; Assistance in quality assurance, configuration of environments, technical documentation, deployment of releases, evaluation and reporting. Requirements Minimum 11 years of combined IT experience and relevant studies; In depth knowledge of applications design; Excellent command of coding best practices, software design and architecture patterns; Knowledge of Content Management Systems; Full stack web application development expertise; Strong experience in Service Oriented Architecture; (SOA) Excellent know-how in Java, J2EE, JSP, XML/XSL/XSLT, UML, JDBC, SQL and RDBMS; Front-end technologies: XSF, JSP, Spring MVC, Servlets, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, XJS, Ajax, JSON, GSON, XML/XSL/XSLT, XQuery, XPath; Java Swing; Strong command of relational database management systems, particularly Oracle (SQL); Good knowledge of Linux; Knowledge and affinity with cloud computing and IT security is an asset; Knowledge of information systems from the domain of long-term digital preservation, for example, Preservica is mandatory. Excellent command of the English language oral and written.
