HI. I need a python code for Ansys Workbench Automation.
Step 1: Select "Steady-State Thermal" and Create a base geometry in Ansys DM. There will be two base geometries that will be tried: Cylindrical (parameters: diameter, height) and Cuboid (l,b,h).
Step 2. Create a Mesh, and Define the input variables in Solver (like temperature, and heat flow), and 2 Temperature Probes.
Step3: Solve and get the results (the 2 probe temperatures).
Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 for different parameters in geometry. Solver parameters remain the same. Every such iteration will give different Temperatures of the two Probes.
Step 5: Save all the Probe Temperatures in Excel Sheet:
Format: Diameter, Height, T1, T2 for the cylindrical one.
L, B, H, T1, T2 for the Cuboid one.
I will give you the exact values for these parameters for iteration.
Step 6: Change the distance/location of the above two probes, and repeat steps 1-5. There could be up to 10 different values of distance/location of the above two probes. So this also requires being in another loop I guess.
The entire data must be saved in Excel sheet properly (we can discuss this more).
Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of Python, Ansys WB & DM, Parametrization in Ansys, Automation on Ansys workflow using Python (Ansys-Python interface).
Time: 5 Days
Milestone 1: 20% upfront to start the work.
Milestone 2: 20% after you submit the code for Cylindrical Geometry (with results of all parameters variation).
Milestone 3: 20% after you submit the code for Cuboid Geometry (with results of all parameters variation).
Milestone 4: 20% Changing the Probe distances and getting the results for each of the 2 geometries
Milestone 5: Last 20% after I get all the Excel sheets in proper readable formats, as per our discussion.
I have already done the steps 1-3 (and its completely working), which I can share once the project is confirmed.
