Project Details: We are looking for a front end developer to build the project’s new open-source website. This website code will be open source and become a part of the ShareLearn Git repo. Our current website [login to view URL] This end-to-end web solution will be hosted on GitHub and built using a variety of web technologies (Bootstrap, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS). NOTE: we already have wire frame designs in Figma that will be provided SCOPE OF WORK: - Deliver: build, test, validate and release a responsive website experience hosted on GitHub -- the site should be easily updated by our team - Collaborate: work closely with research, design, data science, and the open source community - Own: complete lifecycle of the website development with a focus on quality, efficiency and final-mile polish - Development: produce a robust, clear and scalable technical solutions for user scenarios; high quality code built on best engineering and open source community practices to ensure long-term maintainability, reusability and success -- Code should be clearly documented and easy for someone else to update and maintain -- The code will be in the ShareLearn Git repository - Technical expertise and track record in web engineering and high-quality deliverables TIMELINE: - The website needs to be launched by June 25 Required Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience building front-end web applications with components, global design systems, and responsive frameworks for desktop-to-mobile web browsers - 2+ years of experience implementing accessibility standards for web as part of the component framework - 2+ years of experience with the following web technologies: Sphinx, Python, Java script, CSS Preferred Qualifications: - Strong design integration skills with exceptional attention to detail. Motion design integration skills a plus. - Strong collaboration skills with cross-team problem solving abilities and willingness to experiment to achieve the teams’ vision Considerations: - The content showcases sociotechnical aspects of Fairlearn so we want to be as visually engaging as possible with a certain amount of “delight” - All aspects of the code and design need to be created and delivered with best practices in mind for the ease of maintenance, reconfiguration and reuse by the open source community
