Hi there! Canadian ex pat here in the UK, happy to help another Canuck! Your issue could be a few things, though should be reasonably straight forward to fix this database error. That being said, there may be more errors coming after this. Is your site based on a well known Cms (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc?) or is it a bespoke creation? It looks like the code used to initiate the database connection is too old for the new server that you're on and will need amended. There looks like there could be MySQL authentication issues as well that need checked out. Happy to have a look tonight if it suits you?
