Gravityforms customization: merge two text fields into a hidden one

I have a GravityForms form where I collect some personal data, including phone numbers, which are split in two text fields (internationa area code and phone number). I need to merge those two fields into a single one (a hidden text field) and I think the best option is using the gform_pre_submission feature (check for it on GF documentation). So the situation is like this: Field A (area code): +39 Field B (telephone): 3331234567 Field C (hidden): +393331234567 I need the hidden field to populate a mailing list DB that has only one column for the phone number.
