Fix custom vtiger module not sending emails - phpmailer

I have a custom module in vTiger with a custom view/action. The action is supposed to send an email. The other parts of the script are executing fine, just not the email part. It is using phpmailer.
Need someone to connect to me via Teamviewer so I can demonstrate and then they will need to fix via Teamviewer too as it is the production and no remote SSH access is possible.
