If your UI framework is Aura lightning : 1. we can create button on the lightning component - UI that will call the salesforce REST API apex class. 2. we will create REST API apex class that will a. authenticate with external system. b. if authentication is successful, we will query the opportunity record. c. and send the record in the REST API request in the JSON format.
