Hello Alex, I have made a rough estimation of time necessary to update an app from Ionic1 to Ionic3: the real time will depend on lots of variables, like 1) number of components/directives/pages and 2) plugins. Do you have a diagram/schema of the Ionic1 app? For the AWS gateway, I would use the AWS amplfy library (never used before, should enhance AWS SDK usability), that looks really promising.
