The "Online Website Builder" site should contain the

following features, but not limited to:

1) User able to preview and select website template

and upon selection, fully edit and maintain their

website via an online editor interface

2) Administrative interface to allow users to update,

upload, download or publish website (via FTP). Entire

administrative interface, along with the online editor

interface, should be user-friendly

3) 3 sample templates

4) Able to create categories and categorize web

templates as such

5) A search box functionality so users can search for

web templates by category

6) Able to easily upload and add new web templates

7) Able to handle membership sign-ups, billing and

terminations. Members area should be protected by

user-name and password system

8) Able to easily link to payment processor(s)

9) Able to easily add, remove and edit graphical

elements like company name, company logo and company

slogan

10) Able to easily add, remove and edit text elements

11) Able to easily add, remove and edit table elements

11) Able to easily add, remove and edit links within

the website

12) For each website template, allow at least two

template designs: a main page and a sub-page design

13) Able to generate, modify and copy HTML code for

each created web page. However, do not allow copying

of HTML code for unregistered/unpaid website designs

14) Able to preview website

15) Able to add and modify: page names, page title,

meta keywords and meta descriptions for each web page

16) Users should be able to try out the features and

functionalities of the website builder. But a security

feature like a 'watermark' should be placed on all

unregistered/unpaid website designs

15) Allow download of completed website for registered

& paid members

16) Fully documented online 'Help' section that fully

describes the "Online Website Builder" website's

features and functionalities. 'Help' should also be

available at each stage of the website creation process

17) Able to host the user's website by automatically

creating a sub-directory for the user. Before the

sub-directory is created, the system should check

whether the name of sub-directory already exists. If

so, system should prompt user to enter a new

sub-directory name.

18) Able to offer users a free 7-day trial but do not

allow copy of HTML code or download of completed

website

As you'll infer from the above requirements, we want

the "Online Website Builder" site to have superior

features and functionalities.

However, bidders with previous experience in

developing "Online Website Builder" sites should find

the above specifications fairly standard.

So bid on this project ONLY IF you have the relevant

skills and experience to COMPLETE the project to our

specifications

We will only consider bidders that can demonstrate

PROVEN experience in developing "Online

Website Builder" sites

To this end, bidders will need to provide us with

their portfolio of EXISTING "Online Website Builder"

sites developed by them.

The "Online Website Builder" should be able to work

flawlessly in the following browsers:

i) All 4.0+ versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape

ii) Mozilla Firefox 1.0 browser
