This eStore uses images, logos, product descriptions & text we will provide. It should be a slick, professional, COMPELLING site for eBook and hardcover book buyers. No flash or animation necessary -- we do NOT want to distract, we want to sell. The site should have very easy-to-use, elegant, obvious, & clean navigation with the goal of driving sales. We are cost conscious but will also consider your reputation, references, and portfolio in making the decision. The eCommerce store should use an existing off-the-shelf, easy-to-configure package that is independently maintained by a 3rd party ISP (ie, not you or your sister). Reputable, long time, established web vendors such as [login to view URL] are what we are talking about. We are open to other systems, but they need to have all the features of ShopSitePro (see [login to view URL] & [login to view URL] - We just would like your bid on the work to do the layout for the front end (with our text, pics, and logos) integrated with the eStore. *** This is essentially just a shop site configuration task. *** As defined in the ShopSite Pro URL web address above, we need the following features implemented for this site initially: Customer Registration Real-time Credit Card Authorization/Processing PayPal Custom Checkout Fields Custom Pages Custom Templates See deliverables for more detiais ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Configuration settings saved in an location accessible to us, with backups. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). If a dispute arrises it shall be handled by rent-a-coder arbitration and each party agrees to respond to all inquires from the arbitrator in a timely manner or else forfeit their fee. High quality, slick, professional buttons & other elegant graphic elements unifying all pages of the site including the store, and processing sections. We will provide all text, main logo, and photos. Pages to include: 1) home / sales page 2) a bio page 3) an order page which is capable of accepting user names & emails for the downloading of the free mini e-book (each of the above are 1 page each, and the last item below is a dynamic, multi-page eCommerce transaction process which gathers all the customer's purchase info, completes the payment processing, and returns the customer to an American Elite "Thank you page") 4) integration of an admin configurable Automated e-Commerce processing system that can accept credit card & Paypal payments for purchases of the paid e-Book, regular books, and other products to be snail-mailed. We only need the following features set up & configured initially for 8 products (4 are eBooks and 4 are books to be distributed by a third party who needs to receive the customers' names, address, & phone for shipping: Customer Registration Customers can register at ECommerce System stores to make ordering quicker and easier. The ECommerce System remembers customers, including preferred payment methods and previous "ship to" addresses. Merchants can assign customers to different customer groups, and give each group it's own coupons for discounts to entice customers back to the store or to reward regular customers. Real-time Credit Card Authorization/Processing The ECommerce System easily links to online credit card processing services through several payment gateways. Merchants can create coupons that customers can apply to individual products or entire orders. The ECommerce System supports a wide variety of coupon discounts, including percentage discounts and currency discounts that can be applied to one product, a group or products, or an entire order. All aspects of the coupon are controlled by the merchant. PayPal Merchants can let customers pay for purchases with PayPal, which means that merchants can accept credit card payments without having to have a merchant account. Merchants can also accept all other forms of PayPal payments. Order API Using the ECommerce System Order API, experienced developers can create custom order handling features, such as a custom program that delivers order information real-time to a fulfillment house or queries an inventory database to ensure that the product being requested is in stock. Custom Checkout Fields ECommerce System merchants can add text, HTML, and form fields to the checkout/shipping screen. Fields can be radio buttons, text, textarea, checkboxes, drop-down lists, hidden or password. The ECommerce System collects the customer-supplied information along with the rest of the order information, and includes it on the View Order screen and when orders are downloaded. Shipping API Using the ECommerce System Shipping API, experienced developers can integrate the ECommerce System shopping cart with real-time shipping rate information from various shipping services, such as the United States Postal Service. ECommerce System merchants can also purchase third-party add-on modules built using the ECommerce System Shipping API. Custom Pages This feature enables you to link existing ECommerce System database information, such as price, description, SKU, and product name, into your existing pages, using HTML-like tags. Designers can take full advantage of cool HTML tools, yet retain the ease-of-management that comes from maintaining product information within ECommerce System databases. Custom Templates Merchants and designers can exercise complete control over a store's look and feel with custom product, page, shopping cart, search, and gift certificate templates, which are built with HTML tags and easy-to-learn custom template tags.
