Web Site: Simple functionality...Looking for creativity...

I built my own website using a free template. You can guess just how well that worked out... Time to find someone who knows what they are doing... Here's the scoop: I need a site of about 10 total pages. I will provide all text and will supply graphical components, if you need me to do so. Most of the pages will be incredibly straightforward. It can be straight HTML with no frills. I will need one contact form page. I am open-minded in terms of the look of the site. I do want something unique/original, but don't have preconceived notions about what the end result "must look like." Thus, this could be a fun gig for someone who wants to show off their creativity/design skills. If/when you respond to this bid, I'd like you to give me some idea of what kind of site YOU want to build for me. To help you with that decision, here are some basics about my business... I am a freelance writer specializing in web content and copywriting for net-based businesses. I need something that looks at least somewhat professional (but I don't think that means it has to be boring). I tend to like color/style choices that make a visual impact. I'm not a fan of faeries, frills, flowers or the "standard" writer look (pens, quills, etc.). I want something with a crisp, clean look. What do you think? Is there a design style you've just been itching to try? Have some idea that none of your other clients are willing to accept? I want our interaction to be painless and fun. I will warn you that I'm hunting for a bargain. However, I'd like to think the opportunity for nearly unrestrained creativity might make up for that. The core needs are simple. One could accomplish what I need with some simple HTML in minutes. The real work is in the Look, not in the function. Pages will be: Home, About, Contact, Samples, FAQ, Resources, Services, etc. Nothing too crazy. Thanks! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform I need this site to look good from any browser. I'd prefer SEO-friendly coding and tag use.
