Online Management Plans.

Industry: Demolition, Asbestos, Safety, Risk Management. My Problem: Currently, management plans and work method statements are within word format. These documents are a template. They are rarely updated, unless a client sees something amiss. When a new job is won, these template documents are then utilised to create the plans required for by the client, that tells them how the demolition and asbestos removal job will be undertaken. There are a number of rules (laws, standards and suggested practices) that need to be considered prior to these plans being produced. This is a time-consuming process and is therefore normally kept very generic. I spend much to much time on this each and every day. It is mind numbing. Planned Resolution: I am looking to create an online management system (let’s call it Destruct), that I can utilise both at the desk computer and on the go through a mobile device. Destruct would allow for the project manager, not just myself, to click on the relevant parts of the management plan, for that specific project. For example, if there is no working from heights issues, then working from heights would not be “clicked” and therefore would not be part of the plan. The idea is to move away from being generic, to being more job specific. There will need to be functionalities for the input of specific project information, including photos of site, location mapping from addresses and contact details. There will also need to be for the ability for people to make changes, but the document to then be quality managed through revision control with date stamps, and electronic/ touch screen signatures. I would then need the ability to print to a PDF document, and then send this document to the printer or emailed to the client all from Destruct. I have a number of PDF documents for various laws within our State, as well as Codes of Practises and Standards, that I would like made into Destruct. I have attached an example of such a document. I would like to work with the developer to map out exactly what I am after, so there are no surprises. I am acutely aware that a great deal of time (and money) is lost because people think one thing is required and the other thinks they are getting something completely different. I understand this may not be an easy task. But I am patient and am willing to work with a developer or a team that can communicate with me to make this a reality. It is my firm belief that additional requirement will be made to this project, in various versions afterwards. But for now, it is important to stick to the original idea, and get to v1.0. I am not after the cheapest price, nor the quickest time. And I am not looking to be ripped off and 6-months later I have nothing to show for my time and investment. I am looking for the right mix to make this project a success for both parties. Prefer: I would prefer to hear from freelancers who have undertaken a similar task, and can show me an example of a similar outcome. Essential: To apply for this project, you must present a project plan. I will delete any bids that do not present information to me that highlights how the freelancer plans to undertake the project. In particular, I need to know what information you require from me, to ensure we are all on the same path. You are the expert, I am relying on you to make my thoughts a success.
