Project overview: • Use Android phone to provide a communication link between vendor provided IoT device and web server • Server will send commands to android phone via Firebase. • Phone will unpack the command and forward to the IoT device using GATT communication protocol • Phone will receive response from IoT device and relay it to the web server using REST • Vendor supplied git will provide a starting point for control and communication to the IoT device Project Deliverables • Vendor code install o From your site and using screen sharing, you will assist me in updating my environment with the following  Copy Git from vendor github to my gitlab  Install the git library on my android phone  test vendor provided functionality with the vendor IoT device • Android code to extend vendor code: o Status - show the status of the device as well as a continuous count of errors, commands, and responses o History - show a history of the last 50 commands and responses o Reset - initialize the phone-server communication o Config - set the id of the device o Receive Command - receive command from the server via Firebase and forward to the device o Response Forward - forward the IoT device response from the command to the server Requirements • good to fair spoken english • previous experience connecting Android phone to an external device • screen share and voice chat to implement your updates on my system
