Extend and enhance mobile and desktop app to share files with Cloud Object Storage

We are looking for a developer to extend / enhance / maintain our existing QT/C++ based apps (multi platform: Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iPhone). It uses an Openstack Swift cloud object storage backend.

We have a new UI/UX template, QT has a number of enhancements its made.

Simple features and fixes:

Implement new UI/UX.

Utilize IPv6/HTTP/2.0 where/when available (already in QT)

Support more than 10,000 files/directories in a single Swift container (part of the Openstack Swift library)

Support uploads of more than 5GB (part of the Openstack Swift library)

Confirm subdirectory creation/naming is Swift compliant

Confirm cache updates are in sync with the object store (swift library, last modified call)

Add certain mobile friendly features: Scheduling transfers when on WiFi, when on Charger, on metered connection, etc will be required. Automatic upload when a photo or video is taken with the device's native apps should be an option (a hook using the native OS API to detect file system change and then use the background OS upload feature to push to the cloud) Autoregistration/autologin/remember me/password keychain of the app into the Cloud and plan upgrades, etc will be part of the system. Integration with Android Pay (apple pay is working, but we have some enhancements) and other payment systems is required.

There are other features for future milestones, we will accept fixed-price or reasonably-priced hourly work (based on the total investment per milestone.
