We got an android app that reads system notifications on the device and forward it to a server. All functions work as expected BUT sometimes the app just crashes and exit when it gets a new notification, We then have to restart the phone to get the app to see new notifications again. I need an android app developer to debug the code and fix the intermittent crash scenario, more info on testing and working will be provided. Function of the app: The app reads the system notifications, test the sending source (app) and send it to a server for processing. Operation: The app opens and read the existing identification key from the SharedPreferences, if a null is found it ask the server for a new key via Volley, this key is then stored through SharedPreferences to be used later to identify the notification sender to the server. The app registers a notification listener intent (NotificationListenerService) and read all system notifications through StatusBarNotification it then test the notification source packagename (app that sent the notification) and if a supported app ("[login to view URL]" - the notification originates from Whatsapp) it sends the URL encoded content to the external server. If the external server returns a formatted response the app will send the response via RemoteInput back to the app that sent the notification else retunes only and change the icon of the app to show the source apps logo. Test Environment : The app is being tested on three devices before roll-out in the app store. #1 Samsung J3 (Android 5.1.1) – Whatsapp Massager 1500+ messages a day #2 Sony Xperia C3 (Android 5.1.1) – Whatsapp Business 300+ messages a day #3 Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Android 6.0.1) – Whatsapp Massager & Business

Hello I have gone through your post. There can be various reason behind this crash . Some crashes occur when you doesn't give permission in the manifest and others reasons can be because of their API. So to know the exact reason I have to go through the app codes.
