I'm looking for a mechanical structural engineer to design a support for a double garage. The current garage has two openings separated by a pillar. I want to make it into one opening, but think the bricks above may be too high a weight in the centre for a simple lintel. Thinking I need a curved beam to each wall, a tie rod to take the horizontal stress off the walls and a central link to the lintel to eliminate any bending. See current versus desired pic attached.

Note that I have done some initial work on a steel lintel (using Inventor), as attached. This was for a 6 metre T lintel, 250 x 200 x 10 galvanised steel. I'm looking for both confirmation of that, but also what other, lighter, options might be feasible, I realise that it could be best to change the bricks for a wooden frontage, and have considered slicing the bricks and making a fascia by sticking them on a wood panel, which would lower the weight significantly. So this option should also be considered. I can send other sizes too, but the pics should be sufficient to give you an idea of loads. The garage is brick construction, and the corners are dual brick pillars.
