Hello,
The title of the project is Numerical Characterization of Ultrasonic Atomizer. In this project, we would like to simulate a fluid flowing through an atomizer. This atomizer is a resonating part, meaning it will vibrate at a resonant frequency. This vibration is provided/imparted by a piezo-electric transducer which is attached to the atomizer. This vibration creates standing waves inside the atomizer. When fluid is made to flow through this atomizer, due to the presence of standing waves, fluid gets atomized into droplets. We are interested in simulating this process.
We have already finalized the geometry of the atomizer. But we are not able to simulate the vibration which causes the atomization. In the attached paper "Miniaturized Multiple Fourier Horn", we have chosen the 'A" geometry which has a resonant frequency of 1.445 MHz. With this geometry, we want a CFD simulation of fluid droplets coming out of this portion because of the presence of vibration in the nozzle.
