In automotive industry, a lot of manufacturers are involved to product vehicle component for completing the vehicle assembly. However, the XXX company is required to produce a semi-active suspension system in improving the ride and handling performance of the vehicle during accelerating and cornering. You as an engineer at XXX company need to provide all the preliminary assessment on the performance of semi-active suspension system and need to obtain the suitable value of stiffness and damping for the semi-active system. By providing a part of vehicle which is quarter car model as in Figure 1, you need to evaluate the performance of the proposed suspension system by using MATLAB Simulink software and provide the evidence results compared to passive suspension system. You are also required to design a control system for a semi-active suspension for the vehicle. Then, you are required to provide technical report as followed by customer need:
