I need a senior system administrator with good knowledge about MBOX mail format, X-Statuses, Thunderbird specific particularities, large file editing techniques, linux sed, grep, etc.
After I deleted a couple of mails, my Inbox got empty, I have no email on server (Imap). But the local Inbox mbox file still is 7Gb, so has all the content.
I need to restore it exactly as it was before, including mail status (read, unread, replied, etc.) + mail connections, like Threads. I am a senior programmer so have a very good understanding of technology, so please don't bid if you're thinking about simple solutions like re-importing the mbox in a fresh folder or resetting all mail statuses to unread, or other far from perfect solutions.
I want an urgent help, and will only consider a good rated professional, with good communication skills, that's available to work now, and voice-talk on Skype.
I have 20+ experience with Linux servers and especially a combination of IMAP / Emails servers with Thunderbird as the email client on desktop.
I have worked extensively with the MBOX format files on both the server end & client end with Thunderbird. Also I am good at multiple languages like C++ / Javascript so if necessary can write a program that scans the file for data.
Using some server end custom code to scan and mbox file I can work to repair you data. Whether the complete status can be recovered including the Mail statis etc. depends on the quality of the mbox file. Some of this status metadata can be stored by Thunderbird in separate files.
P.S:- Skype voice talk is possible over Skype mobile but I might not be always available for a voice chat
