I want a shell script or a webpage password protected but no database password to be on files 1 - when logged in i should be able to pull files from gitlab and so when a developer pushes in master branch all changed files should download every time i run the script. 2 - the files pulled we need to be able to give it permission like www-data:www-data and chown 755 3 - i need to be able to exclude files from a folder 4 - the script will run on different folder from where it needs to be pulled to so the script will reside in a users created folder and pulled files will be on web server the servers will be running ubuntu 20.04 with ngnix and php 7.4

Hi! I am DevOps with some 15 + years in IT business. I've been using this kind of deploy scripts for years, and, sure, I can help you with manual deployment. Usually you need not to do it in manual way. Github has it's own webhooks with password protection and ssh-keys... but if you still need webpage and custom scripting - you welcome anytime to PM, to talk about it and make deal.
