Depending on the size of your HD i can do it in 1 or 2 days. Please tell what is your primary OS and what other OS you want to boot. I have done this a lot, actually my laptop is dual boot with windows and Fedora. Normally all the process is less than 24 hours. It is very advisable to first backup your data to avoid loss of data. The proposal is only for the repartitioning not to install the new OS
