I am freelancer myself, looking to develop a platform for further development. And to do that I need a dynamic RESTful API to act as an intermediary between a database and a website or application. The RESTful API will have to be built on NodeJS - as few external libraries as possible. It needs to be able to read _any_ database it's connected to, local or remote, then project the database contents into models that can be accessed through the API itself - generating and exposing a documentation in the process. I am thinking maybe have a compiler of sorts to generate the models on-connection, or a on-the-fly generator. I am open to suggestions. I am also looking to extend it's features in the future. But for now this will do.

I have years of experience with Node.JS, for mysql connection i use an ORM called Sequelize, this ORM also has a module that auto-generates models for each database connection provided, all that Sequelize requires is that the database must be SQL. For other types of databases that are non-SQL such as MongoDB must have another module for their specific use and build an auto-generator model for the database
