Target: windows desktop app with usb/serial db9 adapter gui : - 8 serial port pin buttons matching 9db port pins (ground excluded) - click on output button changes serial port pin voltage - change input pin button color (eg. green) when a change is detected on pin - x1 combo to select discovered com ports hint:  <dependency> <groupId>[login to view URL]</groupId> <artifactId>rxtxcomm</artifactId> <version>2.2pre2</version> </dependency> can help, but you can use any other serial port library at your convenience
