BRE Drools Engineer

Primary Tasks/Activities: Knowledge of Java / J2EE technologies • Extensive Java / J2EE technologies • Extensive JBoss Drools and JBoss Application Server (Wildfly Server / Tomcat Server) • Experience Required Software development experience in JBoss Drools rules management • Strong in Business rules management and functional knowledge in Rules extraction from requirements • Prior experience on Rules development and configuration • Able to understand and document rules from requirements • Make rules callable from service layer and business components • Experience with RDBM systems: SQL Server • Working knowledge and experience using JavaScript, Servlets, JSP, HTML and CSS • Able to Plan, Estimate the effort based on requirements • Azure Repos/Git code repository and branching • Sonar Cloud for static code analysis • Knowledge on build and release pipelines to deploy to above services • Familiar with Test Driven Development – Unit tests, System Integration Tests, acceptance test, load tests, JUnit • Jira for ticket management Good to have knowledge on the below: • REST / SOAP Web Service development • Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC) • Azure Monitoring • Log Analytics POSITION REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Components: • Proficient in Java, Drools, Business Workbench • SQL Server experience • Azure DevOps development environment • Strong Customer Focus Experience (Years and types): • Working knowledge with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure • Proficiency in using Java and Drools Rules Engine • 6+ years of strong development experience Education Levels/Credentials: • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) / Bachelor's in Engineering ( Tier 1 college) Skills and Abilities and Other Characteristics: • Enthusiastic team player who enjoys both strategic and hands on work • Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions to complex product issues • Strong interpersonal, communication, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees
