Add push notifications to our apps

Hi, we have a native Android and iOS application, very simple, it just displays the content of the mobile webpage. It was originally done by [login to view URL] and modified by ourselves. I want to add native push notifications to it. No frameworks or third party services. For Android Google Cloud Messasing and for iOS the Apple pendant. I will do all the serverside stuff but need asistance to expand the functionality of the apps. That means: Our software will trigger everything, that results in a push notification event. There are 3 different event types that should be displayed on the phone / tablet. The notifications are personalized. The user has to login before using the mobile website / the app. So to what I've heard I think the procedure is as follows (I have no experience with push notifications): 1) When the user opens the app there is an "Device-ID" which changes after several days. This Device ID needs to be registred at GCM (for Android) 2) This Device ID has to be submitted as an extra field or as a query string to our login url in the app. For example now the url for the login is: [login to view URL] and it will become [login to view URL] 3) On the serverside I will grab the device ID at login and store it in a database (in relation with the username that was used for login) . 4) When there is an event (for example a new message) for user "Bob" our software will ask the database if there is a device ID for "Bob" and send a query "New Message" to GCM with the device ID. 5) On the mobile device this notification should be displayed when the app is not active. So I will do 2) and 3) - 1, 2, 5 is your part. For android and iOS. The type of the device should also be submitted so that I can query the right service. Moreover I need a quick overview how to send push events to GCM (and Apple) ... I guess I need an API token and can curl a specific URL. I will send you the the source code of both apps. I need the full source code with the changes. I prefer working with you together for a longer time, the profile of my last developer here at freelancer was deleted.
