I need a Perl CGI script that uses the WebScripter CPAN module with the associated JavaScript plugin that can scrape two specific data strings from the JavaScript-rendered content of web pages of a particular format. The process involves programmatically simulating three clicks on onscreen JavaScript elements in order to get to both of the needed output data values. It is a JS dropdown menu wherein the user must initiate the selector and then select a province and then city to find the shipping cost. Within this menu the the shipping weight is also displayed. This pair of data values then needs to be saved to a flat text file. I will provide the sample web page code and and screenshots showing the elements that need to be clicked and the two data items that are output to the screen. The web page is in Chinese. The underlying code is English-readable though. Once I have the above script I can integrate it with my existing CGI script that scrapes other data on the page.
I believe there is no need to use WebScripter module (also I'm not sure it will work for your task). But I can provide you working script that will use pure WWW::Mechanize to perform exactly same result.
I have huge Perl and web scraping experience that's why I'm sure you'll be impressed with my work. All I need to start is detailed instructions from you.
