In-House Freelance Designer
$15-25 USD /uro
We are looking to add a talented, innovative, and passionate Freelance Designer to assist our Marketing Communications team. Hours and days will be flexible based on the individual’s schedule, but we're looking for about 15-20 hours a week minimum starting March 1, 2018 with the ability to work in-house.
• The freelancer will create packaging files, magazine ads, event materials, POP signage, Power Point presentations and digital assets within the Coolaroo brand standards ensuring a strong, recognizable and consistent visual identity
• Candidate is efficient, innovative, friendly, has a positive attitude, is a team player, and is ready to take initiative
• Candidate is proficient in InDesign and experienced with designing within brand standards and understanding creative briefs

• Qualifications:
• • Bachelor’s Degree in Design field with 2+ years experience
• Experience in packaging design, logo development, web design, HTML e-mails and photography a plus
• Strong eye for usability, layout and information hierarchy
• High attention to detail- and result-oriented
• Strong written and oral communications skills, keen insight, experience with group-based work, and demonstrated commitment to issues of resource efficiency
• Ability to present creative design concepts confidently
• Knowledge of fundamental design principles such as color theory, typography, information design
• Enjoys translating information / data into visual representation
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, organized
• Calm under pressure and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite 5 or higher (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Proofing and pre- press knowledge
• Knowledge of HTML coding a plus
• Strong photography and photo editing skills
• Ability to take creative direction
• A strong portfolio
• Strong work ethic, dependable, and responsible
