Editor-writer needs website

I'm an American jornalist and writer who's lived and worked for decades overseas. I've run newspapers and magazines, including online. Now, I need someone to build a creative, attractive and eye-catching website that features my own work (columns, essays, book and film reviews, et al). I would furnish the content (some to be transferred from a previous site); the candidate would building the site and the system admin side, which I would later take over and manage. This could be done via Wordpress or a similar program, or designed independently. I need someone who has English as a mother longue and likes projects that have a more creative bent, rather than ones driven by a marketing/sales approach --sInce I have nothing to "sell" but my writing. This might sound like a simple blog, but it's a bit different, which I'll explain later. This should not be your first project and you should be well-versed in the ins and outs of programming and design. This is both a front- and back-end job, but limited in scope. I am open to working with veterans or those just starting out, so long as you show real interest, have a creative side, and think nimbly.
