Hi Conrad,
This is Bogdan from Romania.
I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too).
I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc.
I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch.
1 - it is necessary to know on what car/model would you like to mount the new mirrors (in order to have an idea on how the base to be shaped...)
2 - it will not be possible to replicate the exact shape of the door on the area where the mirror will be placed, so a kinda adaptor will be needed
3 - would you also have the positioning mechanism fitted into the mirrors enclosure? (it will involve supports for an existing mechanism and compatibility with your car plugs/connectors)
4 - the enclosure will imply about 3 parts (adapter, base, closing rim) which to be 3d printed/cnc milling...(and of course to be in pairs left/right :) )
are you aware that the price is higher than the bid, but we first need to discuss more to see the whole complexity...
Regards
Bogdan
